Heya! Just wanted to let y’all know that I’ve got a couple pieces up in a new gallery just off Queen West called Art Yard. It looks like this inside:
But it sure doesn’t look that way on the outside – there’s some crazy construction going on in the area, which has unfortunately been extended so that now it’s still rough looking while this show is happening, but it’s okay! It’s lovely inside! If you’re driving or walking through a desolate construction zone, YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AND SOON YOU WILL BE SURROUNDED BY ART AND WILL GET THE CHANCE TO MEET A LOVELY LADY NAMED NATASZA WHO IS DOING GREAT THINGS INSIDE THIS SPACE!
So c’mon down and hang out with me for the opening reception! It’s on Thursday, May 15 from 7pm – 10pm at 30 Abell Street in Toronto. If you think you wanna come, RSVP here.
I did these three in December, but as my website is too difficult for me to update (and thus I am planning on building a new one that I can understand in the not-too-distant future), these ones, along with anything else I’ve made in the last, oh, YEAR, are not up there. So now you can see them! Better yet, head on down to 3030 Dundas to catch the last few days of the show and see them in the flesh. Or in the pigment. Or whatever.
The show has been hung! There’s something colourful on the walls at 3030 Dundas in the Junction (Toronto). And a number of these colourful things are brand-spankin’ new. Actually, LOTS of this stuff isn’t on my website yet; if you wanna see it, you’ve gotta come out! MWAH HAH HA!!
Hey art lovers! There’s a funky lil’ place in the Junction (Toronto) called 3030 Dundas, which also happens to reside at the address it’s named after (funny that), and I’m having an art show there starting next week.
OPENING NIGHT PAR-TAY: Saturday, March 9 at 7pm
You get me and the art, and as if THAT’S not enough (right?), you also get the musical talents of Kayla Howran and Amanda Mead at 9:30.
There’ll be new art, there’ll be music, there’ll be drinks, there’ll be friends and fun times. What’s not to like? Come on down!
The show’s up for a month, starting this Tuesday, March 5. But if you can come out next Saturday, come out next Saturday!
Come one, come all, to the Norman Felix Gallery (627 Queen Street West), to see new art from Richard Ahnert, Tara Krebs, Kate Domina, Tony Taylor, and MOI. The opening is tonight (Thursday, December 20th) from 7pm to 11pm. There will be snacks (animal crackers, cupcakes, hummus!) and a bar, and I’m bringing a bowl of vegan, organic, Rabbit-shaped fruit gummies (of course!). Why wouldn’t you want to come? But if you come for the candy and not the art, that’s okay too I guess, just don’t tell me.
I’m a lucky duck: I get to be in a show with 4 other awesome Toronto artists who I really, really like. How fun is THAT?! Come see the whimsical and anthropomorphically inspired art of Richard Ahnert, Tara Krebs, Tony Taylor, Kate Domina, and yours truly.
The show runs from December 20th – January 8th at the Norman Felix Gallery (627 Queen Street West, Toronto).
The opening bash is Thursday, December 20th from 7pm – 11pm.
Regular gallery hours are 9:30 am – 7:00 pm, 7 days a week, with the holiday exceptions being…
*December 24th: 9:30 am – 2 pm
*December 25th: closed
*December 26th: closed
I have some new work to show, but I want there to be MORE so as per usual, I am painting like a mad woman a week before the opening. See you there!
